Software for a local church to gather, read, sing, pray, give and keep track of its own life together. It is not a social network, it does not decide what you see, and it is not trying to keep you on it.

Accounts are for adults, and you are responsible for what happens under yours. Give real details — a church is a body of people who know each other, and a directory of invented names is worse than no directory. You can close your account at any time from your data, and take everything in it with you.

What you write stays yours — your notes, your songs, your teachings, your messages. Putting them into this app gives no claim over them beyond storing and showing them to the people you shared them with, and running the features you asked for. Some of what a church makes together stays with the church when you go, and the privacy page says exactly which, row by row, and why.

• Do not use this to harm, harass, deceive or endanger anybody.
• Do not upload what you have no right to upload. Copyrighted song lyrics are the live case: the songbook asks about licensing because the answer matters.
• Do not try to reach another church’s data, or another person’s.
• Do not automate against it in a way that costs somebody else money. Some things here bill per use.

Gifts are taken by Stripe, not by this app — card details go to them and never touch these servers. A gift goes to the church you gave it to, and this app is a ledger of it, not a party to it. Refunds, disputes and receipts are between you and that church. What a church does with what it is given is the church’s to answer for.

Facilitators of your church can read any conversation in it. This is said on every thread, on purpose, and it is a rule of the software rather than an exception to it. Messages are encrypted in the database, which protects them from everywhere except the people the app has always said can read them.

This is offered as it is. It is not guaranteed to be available, to be free of faults, or to keep your data safe from every possible failure — which is why there is an export button and a nightly backup, and why you should use the first of them from time to time. To the extent the law allows, nobody here is liable for loss arising from using it. Nothing in this paragraph limits liability for anything the law does not permit to be limited.

You can stop at any time by closing your account. An account may be closed from this end for the things listed above under what is expected of you — and if that happens you will be told why, and you will be able to take your data with you first unless the law requires otherwise.

If these terms change in a way that matters, it will be said in the app rather than by quietly editing this page.
